Programme 4 Start your own business (An introductory course)
Level Level 3
Certification obtained Level 3 Certificate in General Learning FNFCX
Compulsory modules Maths, Communication, Personal Effectiveness
Additional modules may include IT,/Woodcraft/ Metal Craft/ Preparation for Work,Craft Art/ Engineering Workshop Processes/ Electronics/Auto CAD/ Food and Cookery/ Hairdressing/ Food and Nutrition/Caring for Children etc.
Possible non-certified modules Business accounts/ Auto CAD / Leisure and Recreation/ Health Education/Enterprise/Organic production principals/Introduction to Biology etc.
Progression options Self Employment and progression to Further Education options FETAC and the Department of Education and Science
Duration Full time, Sept 2010-July 2011
Entry Requirements Applicants must be an Early School Leaver;90% of places are offered to members of the Traveller Community.

Academic requirements:-
Applicants must literate. They must be able to read and write and have maths skills.

Places are limited and will be allocated on the basis of prior qualifications/experience, an interview and an assessment test.
Cost There is no cost for the course, some learners may be eligible to receive an allowance.
